Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday they post a new Top Ten list prompt. This week’s theme is T op Ten Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR. I’m constantly adding more, but here are the most recent! 🙂
10. The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey
My 12 year old wants to read this one, so I need to read it first. Unless anyone here has read it and can tell me if there is anything too inappropriate for a kid her age? She reads well above her grade level, and it’s hard to find books that are ok for her age group but not too easy, so I’ve been reading (aka scoping out) a lot of YA lately. Luckily I like YA books… 🙂
9. Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
A recommendation from my daughter. How can I not want to read it when it has her so excited?
8. The Edge of Lost by Kristina McMorris
7. Secret of the Sevens by Lynn Lindquist
6.The Readaholics and the Poirot Puzzle by Laura DiSilverio
5. A Clue in the Stew by Connie Archer
For an upcoming blog tour – love getting my cozies early! 🙂
4. City of Gold by Carolyn Arnold
A digital ARC from the author for an upcoming blog tour.
3. Gone by Midnight and Other Stories by Joyce and Jim Lavene
2. Slade House by David Mitchell
1. The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend by Katarina Bivald
What’s at the top of your TBR pile? I’m always open to a good suggestion!
1) The Other Side of Gravity, by Shelly Crane.
2) Heroes, by Ednah Walters (Book Two of the Eirik Trilogy).
3) Soulless, by Sarah J. Pepper.
4) Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, by Susanna Clarke.
5) If We Were a Movie, by Kelly Oram.
6) The One Real Thing: The Hart’s Boardwalk Series, by Samantha Young.
7) Pocketful of Sand, by M. Leighton.
8) Vegas Love: (A Sweet, Sexy Standalone Contemporary Romance), by Jillian Dodd.
9) The Nightingale, by Kristen Hannah.
10) Hush, Hush, by Becca Fitzpatrick

I see a few here I’ve been meaning to read! Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell is one I started, then got distracted and put it down. I was about halfway through, so I really need to get back to it.

Was it good, so far? It is not one of those, ‘I can’t finish this,’ books was it?

No…I’m just too easily distracted by other books!

I really loved Uglies – it’s really the book that started my obsession with ya dystopian novels.

I’ve got “The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend” on my list this week too! Love all the signed books you have! Wow. 🙂 Laura DiSilverio is one of my favorite authors, but I haven’t started her Readaholics series yet. They are in my TBR pile for sure though…somewhere…

I would have no problem letting a 12 year old read the Fifth Wave. Especially one that reads above her grade level. There’s some smoochies, but nothing steamy. There’s a fairly disturbing scene inside a body processing unit, but if she’s not easily frightened, she should be fine. My TTT

Thanks for your input! She’ll probably be ready to read it before me, so this helps.

I put The Readers of Broken Wheel Recommend on my TBR fairly recently too! I heard it was a good book for Gilmore GIrls lovers 🙂 Let me know how it is if you read it soon!
