Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every Tuesday they post a new Top Ten list prompt. This week’s prompt is… Ten Of The Best Books I’ve Read Recently. These are all 4 or 5 star books that I’ve read over the last several months. They’re in chronological order here – I read number ten in November of last year, and reviewed number one just today. Let me know what you thought if you’ve read any of them!
Be sure to leave me a link to your own post, or let me know what you’ve read recently that was good in the comments below.
10. Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
8. Crimson Shore by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
6. Off the Books by Lucy Arlington
5. Death of a Nurse by M.C. Beaton
4. Try Not to Breathe by Holly Seddon
3. The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
2. The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum by Kirsten Weiss
1. Girl on the Run by Daryl Wood Gerber
Oh yay! I really enjoyed The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum! You have a nice bit of variety with your lists. Thanks for stopping by yesterday!

Love your list as usual! I was strict in my 5-star rating this week, so MC Beaton didn’t make my list. I love Hamish but most of those books are 4 stars for me. 🙂 Try Not to Breathe was really good, I loved the way it shifted between the characters and the past/present to tell the story. I enjoyed the first 2/3 of Crimson Shore, but then the end blew it for me – I felt like they were just trying to cram the supernatural in since it was a Pendergast novel. Maybe the ending will make more sense to me when the next book comes out. 🙂
I see some new books on here I need to add to my TBR. 🙂 As always!

I do have to agree about the ending of Crimson Shore – it got a little weird!

I looooove Dean Koontz. His books are so creepy! Which one is your favourite by him? Great list 🙂

I love him too – especially the Odd Thomas books, but Ashley Bell was right up there. 🙂

Ugh, so many people have recommended The Diviners to me but I haven’t read it yet. It sounds so fantastic, but it’s a huuuuge book and commitment, idk when I’ll have the courage to finally read it 😀

If you like audiobooks – this is a great one to listen to. I have a long commute, so I get in a couple of hours of audiobooks every day during the week and that’s how i got through this one. Plus the narrator that reads it is great!

I really enjoyed the Diviners. Station Eleven is a book I bought a while ago and just need to make some extra time to read. I’m looking forward to it very much though.

I loved it – I just finished the audiobook for book #2. It’s good too, but the Dviniers was even better.
