What are you reading Wednesday – 9/23/15

What Are You Reading Wednesdays is a weekly meme hosted by It’s A Reading Thing. To participate, open the book you are currently reading to page 34 (or 34% in your ebook) and answer these three questions.

The Questions are:
1. What’s the name of your current read?

2. Go to page 34 in your book or 34% in your eBook and share a complete sentence. (or two!)

3. Would you like to live in the world that exists within your book? Why or why not?

Now for my answers this week…

1. Happy Homicides: Thirteen Cozy Mysteries by various mystery authors!
I received a pre-release (pub date is October 15th) copy to review from Joyce Lavene, one of the authors included in the collection. For more info about each story, click the book cover to view Happy Ever After’s cover release post.

2. While she dried her hands, I gave her a quick summary of my life, including the purchase of The Treasure Chest. Since Poppy didn’t interrupt, I carried on with, “To stock my store, I buy from estate agents. Often I don’t know what I’m getting until I go through it. That’s one reason we’re here today. We found something that belongs to you.”.

3. I’m not really very far into the book yet, so it’s hard to say. Also, being a collection of short stories and novellas, it doesn’t all take place in the same setting. For this week, I think I’ll just say no, I’d rather stay home and read about these places….

Now let me know what you are reading. Where are books taking you this week? 🙂

  1. Love the cover art. I like to keep short stores to read when I finish a book and it is late in the evening. If I start a full length one, I may read too late.

  2. Hi Erika,
I haven’t read a book of short stories in years but they hold a certain appeal. My latest book Ivy Lane was a collection of 4 stories about the same girl taking place over four seasons after she moved to a new area and bought an allotment. I don’t think that can be counted though. I ended up getting half way through it and found it quite dull unfortunately. Anyhoo, here is my WAYRW
